Hours: Full-Time, Part-Time & Flexible Hours Available
The Role
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of older people by providing companionship and practical support with everyday tasks.
Please note: This is a non-personal care role. You will not be required to assist with washing, dressing, toileting, medication administration, or any regulated care activities.
Key Duties
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Visiting clients in their homes and carrying out welfare checks
- Assisting with light household duties, including:
- Cleaning and tidying
- Laundry and ironing
- Changing bed linen
- Preparing light meals and refreshments
- Supporting clients with shopping and collecting essentials
- Accompanying clients to appointments, social activities, and outings
- Running errands on behalf of clients
- Encouraging independence and social engagement
- Reporting any concerns regarding client wellbeing to management
Requirements
- A caring, patient, and friendly personality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, trustworthy, and professional approach
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Previous experience supporting older people is desirable but not essential
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle is desirable but not essential
- Enhanced DBS Check (or willingness to undergo one)
- Right to work in the UK
