Job Description

Schedule: 2 days per week (from 4:00pm), 7 hours total per week
DBS Required: Must have a valid DBS or be open to obtaining one

About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and thorough cleaner to help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment in a nursery setting located in Ilford. This part-time role is ideal for someone looking for evening work, with shifts starting from 4pm after nursery hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize all classroom and play areas, including wiping down tables, toys, and surfaces

• Vacuum and mop floors in classrooms and communal areas

• Empty and replace waste bins

• Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, mirrors, and other bathroom fixtures

• Sanitize frequent touchpoints such as door handles, light switches, and railings

• Refill hygiene supplies (toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels, etc.)

• Maintain cleanliness and safety of outdoor spaces, including sweeping outdoor play areas, removing litter, and ensuring all surfaces are tidy and debris-free

• Ensure proper storage of cleaning materials and report any maintenance issues

Requirements:

• Previous cleaning experience (nursery, school or childcare setting preferred)

• Must hold an enhanced DBS or be willing to undergo a DBS check

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently

• Awareness of health and safety and hygiene standards, especially in childcare environments
